QUALIFICATION

  1. Zoological Survey Of India(ZSI)
PostQualificationExperience
Scientist GEssential: M.Sc. in Zoology from a recognized University / Institute
OR
Ph.D. in Zoology from a recognized University / Institute

Desirable: (i)Knowledge of International Code of Zoological Nomenclature.

(ii) Knowledge of one or more of the following foreign languages : –
Latin, German, French and Russian

(iii) Administrative experience as Head of any scientific organization / unit.

(iv) Practical experience in arrangements of Museum collection.
Minimum 21 years of
experience in research and development in an academic institution or scientific and
technological organization in zoological research and faunistic survey work
OR
Minimum 18 years of
experience in research and development in an academic institution or scientific and
technological organization in zoological research and faunistic survey work
Scientist CEssential: Master’s Degree in Zoology from a recognized University/Institute
OR
Doctorate in Zoology from a recognized University/Institute.

Desirable: 1.Knowledge of International Code of Zoological Nomenclature;

2.Working knowledge of any of the foreign languages – Latin, German, French and
Russian;

3.Experience of conducting field survey and guiding research
03 years of experience in research in an academic institution or scientific and technological organization in the relevant field after possessing the minimum qualifications with special reference to Systematics, Morphology and Ecology of animals.

Area Of Experience: Protozoa/ Sponges/ Annelida/ Helminthes/ Mollusca/ Arthropoda/ Echinodermata/ Fishes/ Amphibia/ Reptiles/ Birds/ mammals

2. Botanical Survey Of India(BSI)

PostQualificationExperience
Scientist CEssential: Master’s Degree in Botany or Agriculture Science from a recognized University/Institute with
OR
Doctorate in Degree in Botany or Agriculture Science from a recognized University/ Institute

Desirable: 1.Knowledge of International Code of Botanical Nomenclature;

2.Working knowledge of any of the foreign languages – Latin, German, French and Russian;		03 years of experience in the field of taxonomy of Angiosperms / Gymnosperms / Pteridophytes /
Bryophytes / Lichens/Fungi/Algae

3. National Museum Of Natural History(NMNH)

PostQualification
Scientist D(1) Master’s Degree in Botany or Zoology or Geology or Bio-Sciences or
Life Sciences or Environmental Science or Wildlife Biology from a
recognized University/Institute
OR
Doctorate in Botany or Zoology or Geology or Bio-Sciences or Life
Sciences or Environmental Science or Wildlife Biology from a
recognized University/Institute

(2) (i)Diploma or certificate course in Museology of a duration of not less
than one year
OR
(ii) Two years’ experience of working in a State or National Museum
preferably in the Natural History Sections

(3) Seven years of experience in Museum field excluding the essential
experience as mentioned above for Master’s Degree holders. In the
case of Doctorate Degree holder, 04 years’ experience is required.

4. Directorate Of Forest Education(DFE)

PostQualification
Scientist CEssential: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute with 03 years of experience in the application of Remote sensing and GIS in Forest Resources and Eco-system Analysis
OR
Doctorate in Degree in Civil Engineering
