ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA JEE MAIN 2021

75 % eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2021 has been removed. According to this criteria, students should have obtained a minimum of 75 per cent marks in the Class 12 examination or have the top 20 percentile in Class 12/qualifying examination held by the respective Boards to be eligible to apply for admission.

Age Limit Criteria:

  • There is no upper age limit for appearing in JEE Main 2021.
  • Candidates who have passed class 12th or equivalent in 2019, 2020 or appearing in 2021 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE Main 2021.

Maximum number of Attempts: 

  • Candidates can take the exam maximum for 3 years consecutively.
  • Candidates can sit for all four sessions- February, March, April and May sessions. All of these will be counted as a single attempt. 

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates who have qualified their XII or equivalent exam in 2019, 2020 or appearing in 2021 are eligible to sit for JEE Main 2021.
  • Candidates must have passed qualifying examination with 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% in aggregate of the QE to sit for B.
  • Planning Paper. B.E/ B. Tech applicants must have passed the qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry /Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational Subject.
  • For B. Arch, candidates must have passed the Qualifying Examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination:

  • Candidates must have passed their XII or equivalent exam in 2019, 2020 or appearing in 2021 can sit for JEE Main 2021.
  • Candidates who passed class XII or QE in 2018 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2022 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2021.

Some Details Of JEE MAINS 2020 :

  • More than 9 lakh candidates have registered in the first attempt .
  • The entrance examination for admission to engineering colleges will be held from September 1 to 6

How To Download The Admit Card :

  • Visit the official Website
  • Click on ‘JEE Main (2021)’ link, and then drag your mouse to ‘download admit card’ link (Link will be activated on scheduled date)
  • You will be redirected to a new page
  • In the new window, registered with your user id and password
  • Admit card will appear on the screen
  • Download it, and take a print out for future reference.

Things To Carry At Exam Centre :

At least one passport size photograph to be pasted on the attendance sheet at the exam centre. The passport-sized photo should be the same as the one uploaded with the online application form.

Candidates also need to carry an original and photocopy of identity proof which should have a clear photo of the candidate such as PAN card, driving license, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar card, etc .
