Applications are invited from Indian nationals for engagement of Research Associates at Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC), Kolkata in the following fields/research areas purely on temporary basis. The tenure of fellowship initially for a period of one year which may be extended for maximum for another one year depending upon the availability of fund and satisfactory performance of the candidate during the preceding year. QUALIFICATION
For Sn. 1 to 7:
Candidate with Regular/Provisional Ph.D. in Physics from any recognized Institute/University.
For Sn. 8:
Candidate with regular/provisional Ph.D. in Computer Science OR Ph.D in Computer Engineering OR Ph. D. in Electronics from any recognized Institute/University.
For Sn. 9:
Candidate with regular/provisional Ph.D. in Mechanical or Cryogenic Engineering from any recognized Institute/University with experience in design and development of cryogenic process systems, cold box, cryogenic equipment with superinsulation and vacuum, and/or cryogenic plate-fin heat exchanger.
FELLOWSHIP
A fellowship for an amount of Rs.47,000/- (Rupees Forty seven thousand) per month only plus Contingency Grant of Rs.40,000/- per annum and HRA (if hostel accommodation is not provided) and other facilities as admissible as per the institution’s rules.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
Screened in candidates have to attend presentation cum interview through online. Candidates not able to attend on-line interview will inform to this office well in advance at [email protected] and provide reasons for his/her inability to join the on-line interview. The committee will examine the reasons given by the candidates for their inability to join online interview and the authority make suitable arrangement for genuine cases.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
The selected candidates will be informed by post and by email. The final induction of the selected candidates as Research Associate will be subject to verification of all the relevant documents i.e., Date of birth, marks sheets, certificates, List of publications highlighting their contribution to the field as well as 2 (two) recommendation letters issued by the faculty members of the institute last attended, soft copy of the synopsis, soft copy of Ph.D. thesis, contact address of two referees (one of them should be Ph.D. supervisor), Aadhar card and all other relevant documents as applicable.
The Centre reserves the right not to fill up the associateship at any time if it so desire. The associateship shall not confer any claim or right for regular employment in this Centre or in any other unit of the Department of Atomic Energy.
