AGE LIMIT FOR OPSC

A candidate must have attained the age of 21(twenty one) years and must not be above the age of 40 (forty) years as on the 1″ day of January, 2020 i.e he/she must not have been born earlier than 2″ January 1980 & not later than 1″ January 1999.

AGE RELAXATION

Provided that the upper age limit shall be relaxable by five (5) years for candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, Women and Ex-servicemen and by cumulative ten (10) years for Persons with Disabilities whose permanent disability is Forty percent (40%) and more.

Provided that, a candidate who comes under more than one category, he/she will be eligible for only one age relaxation benefit, which shall be considered most beneficial to him/her.

SAVE AS PROVIDED ABOVE, THE AGE LIMITS PRESCRIBED CAN IN NO CASE BE RELAXED.

Date of birth entered in the High School Certificate or equivalent certificate issued by the concerned Board/Council will only be accepted by the Commission.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR OPSC

(a) Minimum Educational Qualification for the post of Lecturer in Homoeopathic subjects


(Subjects of Paper-1 contained in Appendix-A). A candidate must have possessed Post Graduate degree in Homoeopathy in the concerned
subject from an University recognised by Central Council of Homoeopathy.

(b) Minimum Educational Qualification for the post of Lecturer in Allied Medical subjects


(Subjects of Paper-II contained in Appendix-A): A candidate must have possessed Post Graduate Degree in Homoeopathy from an University recognised by Central Council of
Homoeopathy.

METHOD OF SELECTION FOR OPSC

  • The selection of candidates for recruitment to the post of Lecturers in Homeopathy shall be made on the basis of and Career Marking and Written Test.
  • Career Marking will be for thirty percent (30%) [10% each for Class-10″h, Class12″ & BHMS] & seventy percent (70%) for Written test to be conducted online (Computer Based Test)/ offline as per COVID pandemic situation.
  • The plan of written test and broad outlines of the Syllabus are specified in Appendix
  • The written examination shall consist of two papers, each carrying 150 marks, with duration of One and Half Hour for each paper.
  • The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices & each paper shall have 100 questions of one and half mark each.
  • The questions will be as per Bachelor in Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery Curriculum.
  • There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • A common Merit List shall be prepared by the Commission.
  • For Homeopathic subjects, selection will be made among the candidates having P.G degree in Homeopathy in concerned subjects.
  • (x) For Allied medical subjects, selection will be made among the candidates having P.G Degree in Homeopathy as per their option for the subject.

PLACE OF EXAMINATION

The written examination will be held at Cuttack or any other place as decided by the Commission.

OPSC DOCUMENTS AND CERTIFICATE REQUIRED

CERTIFICATE

  • H.S.C. or equivalent certificate in support of declaration of age issued by the Concerned Board/Council;
  • Intermediate/+2 Examination Certificate issued by the concerned Board / Council; B.H.M.S.
  • Degree Certificate issued by the concerned University; P.G. Degree certificate issued by the concerned University.
  • Mark-lists in support of all the aforesaid Examinations i.e. H.S.C. to P.G. Degree passed including fail marks, if any, issued by the concerned Board / Council /University.

DOCUMENTS

  • Two recent passport size photographs (unsigned & unattested) which has been uploaded with online application form.
  • Housemanship Completion Certificate;
  • Medical Registration Certificate under the Odisha State Board of Homoeopathic Medicine.
  • Aadhaar Card;
  • Caste certificate by birth in support of claim as S.C. /S.T./S.E.B.C. wherever applicable
  • Certificates of conduct from the Principal/Proctor/Dean or Professor in charge of Teaching Department of the College or University in which he/she last studied;
  • Required Odia pass certificate from the Competent authority; wherever applicable.
  • Discharge Certificates issued by the Commanding Officer of the Unit last served, ; Ex Servicemen must submit an Affidavit undertaking that he has not been appointed against any civil post after retirement from Military service, wherever applicable:
  • Disability Certificate (indicating percentage of permanent disability) issued by the concerned Medical Board, wherever applicable;

OPSC PAPER PATTERN

Subject for written examination for recruitment to the post of Lecturers in different disciplines of Government Homoeopathic Medical Colleges.

The written examination shall be of two papers carrying 150 marks each with a duration of one and half hour for each paper. The questions will be as per Bachelor in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery curriculum. The questions will be objective type of multiple choice (100 questions of one and half mark each) on the following subjects.
